Newtown Police Explorer Open House on May 26 Written by Newtown Police
Newtown Police will be hosting an open house for people interested in joining the Newtown Police Explorer Cadets.
The open house will be at the new Police Department on Wednesday, May 26 from 6 to 8pm.
The age requirements for cadets is 13-21 years old.
All are welcome, not just Newtown residents. Ofc. John McDermott is the point of contact.

Newtown Police Reinstate Child Safety Program Written by Newtown Police
The Newtown Police Department will be reinstating our Child Safety Program. Once a month specially trained officers will assist caregivers with installing and checking car seats.
Residents can contact the dispatch center to make an appointment (203) 426-5841. Please have a clean vehicle, and limit the occupants to only the driver and child.
Newtown Police Report Zachery Thomas Found Safe in Waterbury Written by Newtown Police
Thanks to your help and the great work by the Waterbury Police Department, Zachery was located safely in Waterbury.

A Silver Alert has been put out by the Newtown Police Department for Zackery Thomas, age 28, of Redondo Beach, CA.
Zackary was last seen at approximately 12:30 am today, pull his vehicle, a grey 2020 Toyota RAV4, behind the Mobile Gas Station on Church Hill Rd. and took out all of his life s personal belongings, including cell phone, clothes, and other personnel items out of the vehicle and placed them behind the gas station and then promptly left the gas station.
