CHESTER COUNTY, PA Snowfall began around noon on Wednesday in Chester County and continued through the night as the National Weather Service reported just over 6 inches fell overnight in Greater Philadelphia.

The Winter Storm Warning for eastern Chester County was set to last until 10 a.m. Thursday.
Thursday morning temperatures hovered around the freezing point as the sun peeked out. Winds up to 45 miles per hour were predicted with the storm, but today the National Weather Service reported winds of 5 to 15 miles per hour, gusting to 25 miles per hour.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA Around four to eight inches of snow fell across Montgomery County Wednesday into early Thursday, as the region was hit with the most significant winter storm in years. See the latest town-by-town snowfall totals here.
The Norristown area received 8.5 inches, according to National Weather Service estimates, with around 6 inches reported in places like Skippack, Valley Forge, Ambler, and Royersford.

The county had a total of 273 accidents on the roads from noon Wednesday through mid-morning Thursday, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety. Additionally, there were 202 disabled vehicles reported.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA A Nor easter hit Bucks County Wednesday, bringing snow and wind but sparing the region from crippling power outages. The storm was predicted to bring a foot or more of snow, but most towns got less than that, according to the latest snowfall totals from the National Weather Service.
Several travel impacts were reported during the duration of the storm. Troopers from State Police Troop M, which includes Bucks, Lehigh and Northampton counties, reported 27 crashes and 154 disabled vehicles from 1 p.m. Wednesday through 9 a.m. Thursday.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA A winter storm warning has been issued across the Philadelphia region ahead of a Wednesday Nor easter that is predicted to drop as much as 23 inches of snow in parts of the area.
The storm is likely to be the most impactful winter weather in several years, the National Weather Service said.
The winter storm warning is in place from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday. The snow could become heavy at times late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night, reaching 1 to 2 inches per hour. Expect reduced visibility and potentially crippling travel impacts in places, the National Weather Service said.

The storm is likely to be the most impactful winter weather in several years, the National Weather Service said.
The National Weather Service issued the storm watch Monday. Current predictions call for the Philadelphia region to get six inches to a foot or more of snow Wednesday. The suburbs to the north of the city could see up to 18 inches of snow, the National Weather Service said.
