The two new buildings were planned as single-storey facilities which had been flagged as potential rural workersâ accommodation during pre-lodgement meetings.
âThe proposal compliments rural uses by providing essential labour to the farmers to help in the food security to the region,â the pre-lodgement meeting summary noted.
The report stated the proposalâs mission statement was to âprovide safe, compliant accommodation and transportation to help local farmers in their labour requirementsâ.
It was also proposed that the length of stay could be conditioned up to three months to ensure the project was in accordance with the definition of short-term accommodation.
