Polk County Public Schools graduates recognized for achievements

Ledger Staff BARTOW Polk County Public Schools is busy this summer, keeping up with student awards and also continuing to give out free meals to students in need.  According to the school district’s website, the district participates in the “Summer Breakspot” program, offering free meals to children while school is out.  Meals are available for all children 18 years old and under, as well as adult students in special education programs. Children do not have to be present at distribution sites to receive meals, but parents or guardians will need to show a form of ID for any child who is not there. 

CUA manager retires; Pediatrician joins St Catherine Hospital; McCoy joines KHF board

David Dick, manager of CUA Hutchinson retired June 30. Dick has served the credit union community well for over 35 years. He was president of both the Kansas Credit Union Association in Wichita and the Central Kansas Credit Union in Hutchinson before its merger with CUA. Since the merger, he has served as CUA’s Hutchinson Branch Manager. CUA and the credit union industry are thankful for Dick’s contributions throughout his career and know that both CUA staff and members will miss him greatly. Clint Bontrager has joined the credit union as Branch Manager of the Hutchinson office, replacing Dick. Bontrager is from the Yoder area. He graduated from Haven High School and then earned his BBA in Finance from Wichita State University.
