Americans pizza preferences can vary based on location, but there s a lot of overlap as well.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans have turned to their favorite takeout and delivery foods for for comfort and stress relief. That, of course, includes pizza.
People in the U.S. have strong opinions about their ’za ― from the value of crusts to the acceptability of pineapple as a topping. And while preferences may differ based on geography, there are some big overlaps as well.
In honor of National Pizza Day on Tuesday, Google put together a list of the top-searched pizza places in each state. They analyzed Google Maps data in the U.S. throughout 2020 to see where people were looking to satiate their pizza cravings.

PHOENIX â Whether you re craving breakfast, pizza, something sweet, or just want to grab a beer with friends, there is a new spot in downtown Phoenix bringing together nearly a dozen mobile restaurants and breweries.

Known collectively as The Pemberton, the mainly outdoor entertainment venue is home to nearly a half-dozen concepts with others in the works and expected to open in the next few weeks.
It is located near Second and Portland Streets, not far from Roosevelt Row, at the historic Sarah H. Pemberton home, which was built in 1920. The home was added to Phoenix s historic registry in 2004.

But what about the cities and towns that never get mentioned in restaurant roundups? That’s what this list is all about. Here are the 20 best under-the-radar dining destinations in New Jersey places that deserve to be on the culinary map, where you can eat as well as, and often cheaper than, those much-heralded cities and towns.
I did an initial list in 2018, then updated it for 2019, but this one is all new. You may never have even heard of these towns, and that’s a good thing: It gives you more places, and restaurants, to explore.

The types of pizza available just made a big leap forward in the Hopatcong Lake Region with the debut of “A Slice of New Jersey” that specializes in Neapolitan-style pizza. While only available on a limited basis, they will soon be expanding the availability.
A Slice of New Jersey is the brainchild of local resident Chris Hill who spent his life since 2005 in a global search for the perfect pizza. One of his many travels brought him to the birthplace of Pizza (Naples, Italy 1700’s), where he experienced the true essence of Pizza Napoletana (Neapolitan pizza) that quickly became his favorite pizza worldwide.
