Sponsored by No Label Brewing Co, a local brewery in Houston, Foundry on 19th’s Beer Education Series is coming to a close with this last “secret” class. So far, the series has covered Stouts, IPAs, and Pilsners, but now, the type of beer for the last class is a secret surprise. Attendees will get to taste test a variation of this refreshing and delicious beer.
Glen Hay Falconer Foundation 2021 Siebel Institute of Technology Scholarship
In collaboration with the Siebel Institute of Technology, the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation is offering two full-tuition brewing education scholarships in 2021. The scholarships are full tuition grants and come with travel/lodging stipends.
Both scholarships are for the World Brewing Academy (WBA) Concise Course in Brewing Technology in Chicago, November 1-12, 2021. The WBA Concise Course in Brewing Technology is a two-week intensive program that covers every topic critical to successful brewery operations. The course is designed for brewers pursuing a wider knowledge of professional brewing standards and techniques to advance their brewing careers as well as individuals planning to enter the brewing industry. The WBA Concise Course in Brewing Technology scholarship includes a $1,000 stipend to help offset travel and lodging expenses.
Brewers Association Launches New Mentorship Program

Jan. 7, 2021 The Brewers Association (BA) the not-for-profit trade association dedicated to small and independent American craft brewers today announced the launch of its Mentorship Program. The program seeks to increase the diversity of the workforce, leadership, and ownership of small and independent craft breweries by providing structured mentoring and advocacy to those who may be experiencing barriers to access or advancement in the industry.
“The Brewers Association envisions a craft brewing community that provides unmatched opportunities for learning and professional development to everyone,” said Bob Pease, president and CEO, Brewers Association. “With the creation of our mentorship program, we hope to spur meaningful support for new and emerging craft beer professionals to thrive.”
