Man charged with killing 25-year-old, dumping body near St. Cloud airport

A man has made his first court appearance in connection with the alleged murder of another man in St. Cloud this past November.
Ricee Tyson, 43, of St. Cloud, has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and 1st-and-2nd-degree manslaughter in the killing of Tyler Ecklund, 25.
Ecklund s body was found outside in a vacant lot in the 1000 block of 55th Avenue Southeast, near St. Cloud Regional Airport, on the evening of November 14.
An autopsy confirmed that he had been shot in the head, with his death sparking a joint investigation buy the Sherburne County Sheriff s Office, St. Cloud Police Department, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Driver, 19, dies after crashing into Mississippi River
A passenger survived.
A young driver died northwest of the Twin Cities early Sunday when he crashed into the Mississippi River.
The incident happened in Big Lake Township in the early hours of the morning, with the 19-year-old driver, Dashon Rodriguez, found dead in the vehicle after it was pulled from 11 feet of water.
A passenger, 22-year-old Michael Moksnes, was able to get out, swam to shore, and went to a nearby house for help.
An investigation found that Rodriguez had missed a 90-degree turn on the 15500 block of Sherburne County Road 30, with the Sherburne County Sheriff saying he was traveling at a high rate of speed.
