Hospital and care-home staff must be vaccinated
Like most people in the province, I’m not at all thrilled by the handling of the pandemic by our government; the very high per capita rate explains why. All first vaccinations should go to the most vulnerable, the elderly and all workers in care homes and hospitals. Vaccinating all employees in these institutions should be of the highest priority.

For the province to not acknowledge all staff as “front-line” workers is irresponsible. Most departments in our hospitals have had outbreaks of COVID-19 and it doesn’t take much imagination to empathize with what the cleaning staff in these institutions must have to go through.

One of the country s rarest and most threatened wild plants has astounded conservationists by thriving on an industrial-estate nature reserve.
The field wormwood plants grow on one of the tiniest reserves in England in Brandon, Suffolk.
Botanists and volunteers of the group Plantlife said the number of flowering plants had rocketed from two in 2019, to 85 at the latest count.
Plantlife said traffic at the site kept hungry deer and rabbits away.
