Q. Can you tell us something about your background?
A. I was born in Maine in the USA and brought up in a village of 900 people. My father, Carl, was a builder and my mother, Jennie, worked in a blueberry processing factory. Sadly, she passed away in 2015. I have two older sisters, Becky and Carla. I am 43 and married to Brian O Neill, a web developer from Belfast. I attended Providence College in Rhode Island on an athletic scholarship, so I got a free university education in return for running cross-country and track. My running coaches and many teammates were Irish.
