Man dies alone in Glasgow home as police launch appeal to trace relatives

The body of Peter Fairweather was discovered on December 13. Police Scotland are now appealing to the public in an attempt to trace the 72-year-old s relatives. The force say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. It is understood the pensioner lived on his own, and officers have issued an appeal asking relatives of Mr Fairweather to get in touch.

Police have also asked anyone who knows of the elderly man’s relatives to contact them by calling 101.
A police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing relatives of 72 year old Peter Fairweather who was found dead within his home at Govan Road on 13/12/2020. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
“Anyone who has knowledge of Peter’s relatives is asked to contact the Administration Department at London Road Police Office via 101 during office hours Monday to Friday or email GreaterGlasgowDASU@scotland.pnn.police.uk.”
