International firm promotes 34 Share An international law firm has promoted 34 lawyers, including five to partner, as part of its biggest senior promotions round in its history. Wotton + Kearney, which has four offices across Australia and two in New Zealand, has promoted five lawyers to partner, nine to special counsel, nine to senior associate and 11 to associate, which marks the largest group of senior lawyers promoted in one round in the firm’s history. This historic promotion round, the firm proclaimed, reflects the firm’s “continued growth trajectory”. The five new partners at Wotton + Kearney (all pictured) are Krissy Vale and Meisha Tjiong (Sydney), Chris Spain (Melbourne), Luke Vincent (Perth) and Peter Coggins (Brisbane). Their promotions bring the firm’s partnership ranks to 49.

I strongly disagree. A country that that is the fifth biggest economy in the world and has just increased its defence budget by the largest amount since the end of the Cold War can clearly afford to give foreign aid to countries who are less well equipped to deal with a global pandemic than we are.
