A popular entertainment venue in town - Banbury Bowl - has reopened this week Monday, 17th May 2021, 11:35 am Banbury Bowl has reopened today (Monday May 17) after a total of 11 months closure during the pandemic. Banbury Bowl in the town centre of Banbury has reopened today, Monday May 17. Banbury Bowl was refurbished in November 2019, which included intelligent multicoloured lane lighting, shabby chic bar, DJ hosts, Namco arcade, pizza menu and far improved drinks offer. The venue had previously closed in February 2019 after the collapse of the failed MFA Bowl UK chain. The venue is fully air conditioned ready for the summer and has new lines of Walls ice cream, slush and milkshakes ready for the months ahead.

Lewisham’s longstanding bowling alley s new owners “can’t wait’ to show off its £500,000 refurb having only been able to open briefly last year. Lewisham Lanes, on Belmont Hill, was transformed during the first lockdown and over the summer last year, but was only able to properly trade for a week in October and throughout December. A new arcade, disco lights, DJs and a pizza menu have been added to the formerly run-down venue. Pete Terry, Managing Director of Disco Bowl, which runs the venue, said: “We can’t wait to welcome back our diverse range of customers from kids using our elephant ball ramps, teenagers, students and adults, bowling really is great fun for everyone.
