Image Credit: SUBMITTED/Nicole Hunziker-Basler February 25, 2021 - 6:00 AM After spotting mushroom-shaped figures made of ice and snow on what looks like old dock pilings in Okanagan Lake, a Summerland woman decided to snap a photo before they melted. Located between Peachland and Penticton, Nicole Hunziker-Basler said she captured a shot of the figures, Feb. 20, on her way to work. “I drive by every day, I saw it… and I thought it looked really interesting,” she said. “It’s funny that the wind and the cold and the weather (made those shapes).” For photography enthusiasts, she recommends to go outside often, keep your camera with you, and aim for angle that others may not notice.
