Dessert parlour brand Creams is to make its debut in Wales later this month as it looks to accelerate its plans for further UK expansion.
The chain s new site on Cardiff’s Queen Street will be its 91st UK opening and initially offer takeaway and delivery only via Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
It will subsequently open for dine-in customers when restrictions allow, and feature 56 covers spread across two floors plus an additional 18 seats outside.
Creams, which was
acquired by Pistachio Holdings last month, says it is planning another five to six UK launches in the first quarter of 2021.
Creams acquired by Pistachio Holdings Dessert parlour brand Creams has been acquired by Pistachio Holdings, which is backed by Ankush Shah of the East Africa-based Sumaria Group.
Creams founders, Adam Mani and Balal Aqil, will remain fully involved in the 93-strong business after Pistachio acquired a majority stake in the business.
According to an announcement, investor and shareholder Shah will support the senior team in “taking the business to the next level”, driving ambitions for UK and international expansion, whilst enhancing Cream’s manufacturing capabilities.
Shah is managing director at Sumaria Group, a family owned investment holding company operating primarily in Eastern Africa, and chairman of Doughworks Limited, a KFC and Pizza Hut franchisee in Tanzania.
