3 indicted on felony charges related to allegedly harassing, assaulting police, nurse

Three people were indicted by a Bell County grand jury this week after police said they harassed and assaulted first responders in unrelated alleged incidents earlier this year. Breeshay Dawnetta Williams, 23, of San Antonio was indicted on a charge of assault of emergency medical services personnel. Killeen resident Amia Myatta Loreal Hodges, 35, was indicted on a charge of assault of a public servant. Indicted on a charge of harassment of a public servant was Quentarius J. Mealing, 27, of Killeen. Hodges was being held in the Bell County Jail on Wednesday in lieu of bonds totaling $30,000, on the third-degree felony charge and a Class B misdemeanor charge of interfering with public duties.

Repairs could be made if the city qualifies for federal funding through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. ALPENA The federal government has committed more funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative over the next five years, and Northeast Michigan will benefit. The money will be used for repairing and maintaining shorelines and infrastructure damaged by record-high water levels on Lake Huron, local officials said. The money also will help eradicate invasive species and fund important studies geared toward protecting and preserving the Great Lakes and shores around them.

Partygoers who packed into a Bondi house were among those fined by police. A total of 11 people were fined at the house in Blair Street at 11pm on Boxing Day after neighbours complained about the noise and called police. Teenage hit and run driver struck pedestrian as he crossed the road

Bolton Crown Court. A TEENAGE hit and run driver left a pedestrian seriously injured after swerving into him as he drove to college, a court heard. Apprentice bricklayer, Liam Glenn, was just 17 when he struck retired Stanley Bowman as he crossed Blair Street in Kearsley in February this year. At Bolton Crown Court, Bob Sastry, prosecuting, said it was around 8am on February 11, when Glenn was driving his blue Citroen c1 along Manchester Road. In poor weather conditions, the teenager turned suddenly into Blair Street, cutting the corner and driving on the wrong side of the road. Mr Bowman was crossing the road at the time, on his way to a chemist, and had almost reached the pavement, when he was hit with such force, he went up on to the bonnet of the car before rolling off.
