A third arrest was made Monday in the murder of John Trivonne “Cherryhead” Howard.
Capt. Jared Akins with the Statesboro PD said Richard Bernard Frazier of Savannah was taken into custody in Savannah. The other two suspects in Howard’s killing, Justin Deondre Bailey of Turner St., was arrested Feb. 17, while Eliza John Boyd of Mikell St., was arrested Feb. 10. Howard was shot to death Jan. 28 behind Blakewood Apartments on East Olliff St.

A second arrest was made Wednesday in the Jan. 28 murder of John Trivonne “Cherryhead” Howard.
Capt. Jared Akins with the Statesboro PD said Justin Deondre Bailey of Turner St., was taken into custody Wednesday in Chatham County. Eliza John Boyd of Mikell St., was arrested last week and charged with the shooting death of Howard behind Blakewood Apartments on East Olliff St.
Following Boyd’s arrest on Feb. 10, Akins said “additional arrests will be forthcoming in this case.”
Five days after a heartfelt plea from the family of John Trivonne “Cherryhead” Howard for help in finding his killer, Statesboro Police arrested and charged a Statesboro man with Howard’s murder.

Three suspects have been arrested in relation to two homicide investigations. According to the press release from Statesboro Police Department, additional arrests are anticipated in both cases.
After months of investigation by Statesboro Police Department Senior Detective Cross, Ladarian Golfin (22 years old, Millen, Ga) and Immanuel Hendrix (22 years old, Millen, Ga) have been arrested in the November 27, 2020 murder of Morice Shiggs. 19 year-old Shiggs’ body was found off Rucker Lane with a gunshot wound.
