DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in Ohio say a man was seriously injured in a house explosion in Middletown.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the Flemming Road residence shortly after 4 p.m. Monday.
Fire Chief Paul Lolli told the Dayton Daily News that arriving crews found the back of the house “blown up” and afire. He said the man inside the house said he heard a loud bang and then saw flames.

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (FOX19) - A house exploded in Middletown sometime Monday afternoon, according to Middletown police.
The explosion occurred in the 2500 block of Flemming Road, police say.
A City of Middletown spokesperson says one person was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.
Middletown police first reported the explosion by tweet at 4:12 p.m. The city spokesperson said the fire was under control as of 5 p.m.
Amber Russell lives across the street. She says she was standing in her driveway when the explosion happened.
