Mike Dillon To Release Trilogy Of Albums Recorded During 2020 Pandemic Lockdown

Article Contributed by The Royal Pota… | Published on Friday, January 15, 2021 Mike Dillon has spent the last three decades playing well over 200 shows a year with both his own band, as well as a vibraphonist and percussionist with artists including Rickie Lee Jones, Les Claypool and Ani DiFranco. So when the pandemic hit in early 2020 forcing Dillon off the road, he instinctively directed his perpetually restless creative energy to writing and recording. Recently relocating to Kansas City after spending 15 years in New Orleans, Dillon and producer Chad Meise would track a trilogy of albums: Shoot The Moon, Suitcase Man and 1918. In collaboration with his longtime record label Royal Potato Family, they would offer the records exclusively via Bandcamp just days after they were mixed and mastered. In 2021, those albums now receive the full vinyl treatment, as well as complete digital release across all streaming outlets.

Bundesliga | Cologne vs Hertha Berlin: probable line-ups, match stats and LIVE blog

13 weeks ago Relegation-threatened Cologne failed to win for a club record-extending 14th time on home soil in the Bundesliga after being held to a goalless draw by fellow strugglers Hertha Berlin. In search of a first win at the RheinEnergieStadion since 29 February 2020 and without victory in their last five, Cologne made a spirited start. Marius Wolf - who spent the previous campaign on loan at Hertha - set a new speed record for the current season of 39.42 kmph, but his purposeful forays in the early stages did not translate into meaningful chances. Hertha fared marginally better in the final third as Krzysztof Piatek stung the palms of Timo Horn, before Peter Pekarik sent a fierce effort over from 18 yards. Wolf placed a header from a corner wide, but the most promising opening fell the way of Cologne captain Jonas Hector, who skewed agonisingly wide with the last kick of a keenly contested first half.

5 Dallas Observer Music Awards Nominees Burning Up the City

This year has taken far too much from us: lives, livelihoods and the ability to hug our loved ones, not to mention the shouted conversations with friends over the soothing noise of music at our favorite bar s. The last thing we need is to cede our chance to honor the city’s finest music professionals. The Dallas Observer Music Awards, on their 32nd year, celebrate artists and other workers in the local music industry with awards in 38 categories, from Best Song to Best Record Store. All of the nominees do their part to create Dallas soundtrack, but there are far too many categories and too much good work to applaud to fit in one story, so here we’re highlighting five original performers: singer MATTIE, who is up for Best Music Video and Best Experimental/Noise Act; Jacks Haupt, nominated for Best New Artist and Best Solo Act; Keite Young, lead singer for Medicine Man Revival, who is nominated for Best Album of the Year and Best Vocalist; Jayson Lyric, up for Best Album, Bes
