Everybody remembers Mario Götze s extra-time goal which earned Germany victory in the 2014 FIFA World Cup final against Argentina, but that was only one of many memorable moments in the career of one of Jürgen Klopp s most decorated students, who has signed a new deal with Eintracht Frankfurt through to summer 2026.

Arminia Bielefeld have appointed Red Bull Salzburg youth academy director Frank Kramer as their new head coach, having parted ways with Uwe Neuhaus on Monday.
Kramer was previously part of Germany s youth set-up, coaching their U18, U19 and U20 teams in recent seasons, and Bielefeld are delighted to have secured the 48-year-old on a two-and-a-half-year contract. We had convincing discussions with Frank Kramer and are looking forward to the joint task of further developing our team in all areas, said sporting director Samir Arabi. Frank is a multi-faceted trainer with a lot of experience in the professional and junior sector. We re convinced that, with his professional and analytical qualities, he s the type of coach who fits the Arminia path and who we need for the next steps in our development.
Due to the wintry weather conditions, the match between Arminia Bielefeld and Werder Bremen has been postponed for Sunday. A new date for the game to be played will be announced shortly.

Relegation-threatened Cologne failed to win for a club record-extending 14th time on home soil in the Bundesliga after being held to a goalless draw by fellow strugglers Hertha Berlin.
In search of a first win at the RheinEnergieStadion since 29 February 2020 and without victory in their last five, Cologne made a spirited start. Marius Wolf - who spent the previous campaign on loan at Hertha - set a new speed record for the current season of 39.42 kmph, but his purposeful forays in the early stages did not translate into meaningful chances. Hertha fared marginally better in the final third as Krzysztof Piatek stung the palms of Timo Horn, before Peter Pekarik sent a fierce effort over from 18 yards. Wolf placed a header from a corner wide, but the most promising opening fell the way of Cologne captain Jonas Hector, who skewed agonisingly wide with the last kick of a keenly contested first half.

Stuttgart’s Daniel Didavi scores during the match against Augsburg.
BERLIN: Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo said he was unable to explain his side’s impressive away form after Sunday’s 4-1 win at Augsburg made them the Bundesliga’s joint-strongest team on the road.
Alongside Bayer Leverkusen, who have also won five times and lost once away this season, Matarazzo’s men have a better record than Bayern Munich, who remain top despite losing 3-2 at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Friday.
“The only difference is that we stay in a hotel,” the 43-year-old Italian-American said.
