Exhibit of stellar art and poetry celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore two exhibits in one A is for Apostle Islands (A-Z in art and poetry) and Island Intersections (art and poetry in response to 15 presentations at the Apostle Islands Resource Stewardship Symposium. Both projects were coordinated by Lucy Tyrrell, Bayfield Poet Laureate. Visit the exhibits from noon to 5 p.m. daily, June 2-20, Washburn Cultural Center, 1 E. Bayfield St., Washburn. Yang Warriors with Busboys and Poets in Washington, DC on Friday, May 14 at 5:00 PM CT/6:00 PM ET. Yang will give a reading of the picture book, and Thao will share his process and inspiration in illustrating the author s story. An audience Q&A will follow the book discussion. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase from Busboys and Poets.
