Dennis Sampier is the franchise owner/operator of the Shelby Township location, according to a news release.
Before becoming a franchise owner, Sampier worked in professional sports, including 11 years as vice president of community relations with the Detroit Pistons and executive director of Palace Sports & Entertainment.
In Northville Township, Phil Whitsel is the franchise owner/operator. Whitsel previously worked in the shopping center industry.
Both locations will open as drive-thru only. You can also order through the Chick-fil-A mobile app. Hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
In place of its usual meal giveaway to the first 100 customers, Chick-fil-A will instead surprise 100 local heroes that are making an impact in metro Detroit with free Chick-fil-A for a year.

NORTHVILLE AND SHELBY TWP., MI - Forget early spring as originally mentioned from Chick-fil-A, two new restaurants in Metro Detroit will open this week.
Chick-fil-A just announced opening day for its new locations in both Northville an Shelby Township will be on Thursday, January 28. Each restaurant will employ about 150 full and part-time people.
The Northville restaurant is located at 20135 Haggerty Rd. and the Shelby Township one is located at 13811 Hall Rd. Both restaurants will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Currently, due to COVID-19, the restaurants will be open for drive-thru only.
