A homicide investigation is underway. It happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Eighth Street and Elberon Avenue in the city’s East Price Hill neighborhood. According to officials with the Cincinnati Police Department, one person was found dead at the scene, believed to have been struck by a car. That person has been identified as 28-year-old Phillip Lanton. The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office lists his death as an apparent homicide. Police have provided few specifics on the crash.
