The reaffirmation of the 2003 ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan has taken everyone by surprise. The agreement came at a time when the relations between India and Pakistan had plunged to their lowest in the wake of the withdrawal of Article 370 in August 2019. A lot has been written about the accord in India and Pakistan and also in international media.

Lately, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg and said that the event is a step towards making Jammu and Kashmir a hub of winter sports. SRINAGAR: Nearly after one year of closure since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak, schools in the Kashmir division reopened on Monday for formal physical classes. The students of Classes 9 to Class 12 attended school for the first time since March 9, 2020.

To upgrade the fire services apparatus of the Srinagar city, the Lt Governor inaugurated the strengthening of Fire safety and Emergency Response System costing Rs 6.5 crore including two new fire stations, three fire tenders of 7500 Ltr capacity each, 5 Response Vehicles, Training centre, upgradation of Fire & Emergency Headquarter, installation of 140 fire hydrants, 5 fire fighting boats for Dal lake and safety suits for 150 fire service personnel.
