Birkenhead Medical Building celebrates hitting 25,000 jabs Bosses at a medical centre in Birkenhead have been singing the praises of their staff after hitting a key milestone in their Covid-19 vaccination mission. Birkenhead Medical Building has to date completed over 25,000 vaccinations after the programme commenced on December 14. The main focus of their service has been to target patients registered with the 20 practices who are part of Arno Primary Care Alliance and North Coast Alliance Networks. Dr John Mottram of Blackheath Medical Centre and joint clinical director of North Coast Alliance said: “ From the outset, we were well aware of the enormity of this task, but never did I doubt our ability to deliver. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of this team.
Wirral Mayor Tony Smith receives his vaccination at Woodchurch Leisure Centre The Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral have paid tribute to NHS staff and volunteers after receiving their COVID-19 vaccinations on Wednesday. After waiting their turn to be called by the NHS, Councillor Tony Smith and Mayoress Barbara Smith, attended the vaccination centre at Woodchurch Leisure Centre. They join the 410,623 people who had already received their first vaccine jab across Merseyside and Cheshire by the end of January.
