WAYNESBORO The class that endured a global pandemic during their junior year graduated Waynesboro High School Friday night and Saturday.
Approximately half of The Class of 2021 graduated Friday in an outdoor ceremony at the football field more so resembling a traditional Little Giants graduation ceremony and the other half in smaller ceremonies held inside the school on Saturday.

WAYNESBORO On April 22, Gov. Ralph Northam announced easing up on restrictions amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
By the time of that announcement, more than half of adults in Virginia had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In the Sixth Amended Executive Order 72, Northam expanded capacity for sports and entertainment events to 50 percent starting May 15.

WAYNESBORO The Waynesboro School Board received an update on the 2021-2022 budget, as well as an overview of possible plans for Waynesboro High School’s graduation this year, at the board’s regular meeting Tuesday night.
Waynesboro High School graduation plans announced
WAYNESBORO Waynesboro High School is planning a graduation ceremony for Saturday, May 15 starting at 9 a.m.
Waynesboro Principal Bryan Stamm addressed the School Board Tuesday night at its monthly meeting with information on the ceremony. There s also a letter posted on the school s website with details.
Students will graduate in groups of 10 every thirty minutes. Families will be able to select their time slot via Signup Genius starting on April 19.
The graduation festivities will be held inside Waynesboro High School, with the ceremony taking place in the auditorium. Each student will be allowed up to 10 guests and the ceremony will be live streamed so those who can’t attend can watch.

WAYNESBORO Little Giants pride is unaffected by the economy, a pandemic or wintery weather.
But Waynesboro High School students and staff have a renewed sense of pride in their school with the completion of Phase 1 of 3 of renovations at the school as of this month.
