A new program was launched in the South Bay to help out local businesses, and keep their employees from going hungry.
It’s called 86C19, and it’s a masks for meals program. Carl Foisy and his business partner Brian Schwab began producing and selling reusable masks with “86 C-19” on the front. For every $500 in mask sales, all that money goes to buying meals from a randomly selected San Jose restaurant. Those meals, in turn, go to feel people who are unemployed or furloughed during the COVID crisis.
