Niyajah A. Hales WHEELING The suspect in a January shooting on Wheeling Island is now wanted for murder after the victim died Thursday evening. The Wheeling Police Department is now looking for 19-year-old Niyajah A. Hales for the murder of Michael J. Jackson, 41, of Wheeling. Jackson, who was shot on Jan. 28 at the VooDoo Lounge on Wheeling Island, died Thursday evening in Morgantown’s Ruby Memorial Hospital, WPD said. Hales is a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He originally is from New York. WPD said Hales should be considered armed and dangerous.
