LOGAN, Utah â A World War II bomber landed in Logan today for tour and rides in the upcoming week, but also to inspire future pilots to take to the skies.
The plane, a Boeing B-17 flying fortress, commands a huge presence for the way it flies, lands, and sounds. It teaches what these planes were like back then, and more importantly, what the crewmen and the people of that era went through, said B-17 co-pilot George Madok. Seeing an actual World War II bomber provides a sense of the history of that time, but may also help with a current problem.

Manitou Springs council members say they learn more from media than city
MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) There appears to be tension among Manitou Springs council members and city leaders over the information being released to the public.
Specifically, some council members say they are learning more about what the city is doing from media reports than their own city government they represent. This comes in the wake of the town s police chief resigning after being placed on administrative leave for months.
In a city council meeting Tuesday evening, Manitou Springs council members Julie Wolfe, John Shada and Judith Chandler expressed concerns over not being made aware of what the city is releasing when responding to open records requests.
Manitou Springs Councilwoman Susan Wolbrueck has resigned, the city announced Wednesday, the second city official to step down from her position in three weeks.
In an April 4 resignation letter addressed to Mayor John Graham, Wolbrueck cited a family death as the reason for her resignation. I would like to remain as private as possible about my reasons for resignation, simply stating that my circumstances in my life have changed and that I no longer have the time to appropriately serve, she said in the letter.
Wolbrueck, first elected in 2017 to represent Manitou Springs’ first ward its southern portion didn t attend Tuesday’s City Council meeting and on Wednesday morning the city website listed a vacancy in Ward 1.
