Central Ohioans woke up to a blanket of snow Wednesday morning with areas seeing as much as five inches accumulated.
The amount people saw was very dependent on location, however, said Brian Coniglio, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service office in Wilmington. The snow was caused by a strong low pressure system. It snowed up to five inches in Delaware County, Coniglio said. It snowed a little more than we expected . but the middle of the city, near the airport, got only about an inch. When it s so close to freezing, the threshold is sharp whether it sticks.
Coniglio said there were areas that saw power outages, most likely from tree branches falling on power lines, but the weather didn t appear to affect road conditions.
