John Detorakis is leading three candidates in the race to become the next mayor of St. George.
Detorakis has 222 votes with 40 of 48 tabulators reporting, according to data on the Elections New Brunswick website.
Sharon Tucker is in second place with 197 votes followed by incumbent Faith Avery with 137 votes.
There are a total of 12 people vying for one of six council seats, including one incumbent.
Barbara Rayner is currently in the lead (303), followed by Sam Rubin (299), Brenda Allison (286), Alexa Detorakis (282), Leslie Armstrong (281) and Nancy Coulton (237).
While most New Brunswickers voted on May 10, those in the Edmundston-Madawaska region only voted on Tuesday.

Thirty One Bag Bingo event slated

One Bag Bingo on Saturday, March 13 at the Edgewood Park Building in
Convoy. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m., regular bingo at 10 a.m.
