CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Just a day after College of Charleston head coach Earl Grant left to take the job at Boston College, another Cougars player is following him out the door entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

CofC sophomore forward Brenden Tucker announced his decision on social media on Tuesday becoming the 5th Cougars player to enter the portal this offseason.
âI want to thank College of Charleston, the coaches, staff, my teammates and cougar nation for welcoming me into the program.â Tucker tweeted. âI will forever be grateful for the developed relationships over the past 2 years. With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal and continue to grow and develop as a student athlete.â

CHARLESTON, S.C. Zep Jasper matched his career high with 21 points as College of Charleston narrowly beat Towson 90-88 in double overtime on Saturday.

Payton Willis had 17 points, including the 3-pointer with 49 seconds left in the first overtime to tie the game at 82, and eight assists for College of Charleston (6-8, 4-3 Colonial Athletic Association).
Cameron Copeland had 10 points, including the buzzer beating 3-pointer that tied the game at the end of regulation, and nine rebounds.
ATLANTA Justin Roberts and Corey Allen scored 20 points apiece as Georgia State got past College of Charleston 72-55 on Monday night.
Eliel Nsoseme had 10 points with 10 rebounds his second double-double of the season and three blocks for Georgia State (6-1), which won its fourth straight. Kane Williams added seven assists and Roberts dished six.
Payton Willis had 15 points for the Cougars (2-5). Brenden Tucker added 11 points. Zep Jasper had six rebounds and six points.
Only twice before have the Panthers started a season better than 6-1 with a pair of 7-0 starts in 2000-01 and 1975-76. Georgia State ended College of Charleston s 12-game win streak in the series.
