NEW DELHI: The West Bengal chief secretary has, in his report to the Election Commission on injuring of chief minister Mamata Banerjee at Nandigram, stated that while all necessary security protocols commensurate with her Z+ protection level were followed, the local police arrangements at the spot of the incident were not adequate in view of stature of the protectee.
While chief secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay is said to have insisted that no videography was required to be done as Banerjee s car travelled through Birulia Bazar crossing at Nandigram, he added that the security directorate did do some videography as part of the usual drill. The footage was shared by him with the poll panel.
