Russian woman jumps to her death from top of 6-storey building in Mathura IANS Mathura: A 41-year-old Russian woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping to her death from the top floor of a six-storey apartment building, where she was residing, in Vrindavan. The deceased, Tatyana Hmelovskaya, had been staying at the Vrindavan Dham apartment, commonly known as the ‘Russian Building’, since February 2020. SP (city) M.P. Singh said, “The deceased woman had been staying alone in a flat on a six-floor building. She was on a tourist visa and hailed from Rostov city. “One of her friends, who also lives in the same apartment building, told police that she had been saying that she wanted to meet Lord Krishna.”

Representational Image Lucknow: Wanting to meet Lord Krishna, a 41-year-old Russian woman died by suicide in Vrindavan (Mathura) by leaping to her death from a six-storeyed apartment building on late Saturday night. The Russian woman has been identified as Tatyana Hemelovskaya, a resident of the Rostov town in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. Tatyana was on a tourist visa to India and had been lodged at the Vrindavan Dham building, all alone, since February last year. The building is also popularly known as the Russian building , locally, as several Russian devotees put up there. Her body has been sent for postmortem and the Russian Embassy in Delhi has been informed about her suicide.

The deceased, Tatyana Hmelovskaya, had been staying at Vrindavan Dham apartment, commonly known as Russian Building, since February last year, said police. Talking to TOI, SP (city) MP Singh, said that the woman had been staying alone in a flat on the six-floor building. She was on a tourist visa and hailed from Rostov city. The SP said that one of her friends, who also lives in the same apartment building, told police that she had earlier said that she wanted to meet Lord Krishna.
