A Queensland chapter of the Mongols bikie club has been “decimated” following the arrest of seven people over the Gold Coast murder of Shane Bowden.
The men, aged between 23 and 41, were arrested during raids across six suburbs on Sunday and charged with murder, in an operation police described as “nationally significant” in their battle against outlaw motorcycle gangs.
Shane Scott Bowden was gunned down in his Pimpama garage when he returned from the gym.

Queensland police have charged a further seven men in relation to the 2020 shooting murder of outlaw motorcycle gang defector Shane Bowden on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Detectives from the state’s homicide and gangs squads along with other specialist officers raided a string of properties along the glitter strip on Sunday, making a total of eight arrests.
The seven charged with murder will appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
A 37-year-old Wanora man also taken into custody is accused of unlawful weapons possession and will face Ipswich magistrates Court on July 29.
Major update 2: Shane Bowden homicide investigation
Police have today charged a further seven men with murder as part of ongoing investigations into the shooting death of 47-year-old Shane Bowden last year.
Detectives from the Gold Coast District, Crime and Intelligence Command, including Homicide and the Organised Crime Gangs Group, and other specialised police, executed eight search warrants at Pimpama, Redland Bay, Underwood, Upper Coomera, Helensvale and Wanora in relation to Operation Sierra Arch.
The Operation was commenced after Mr Bowden was shot in the driveway of a residence on Cox Road, Pimpama at around 12.10am on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Raids carried out by police today culminated in the arrest of eight people.
