Gardai have arrested one man and seized €64,000 of cocaine following an intelligence-led operation in north Dublin yesterday.
Man arrested after drugs bust on the northside By Kevin O Mahony A man has been arrested, following a drugs bust on the northside.
It happened yesterday at around 9 o clock last night when Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drug Unit conducted a surveillance operation on the Greencastle Road in Coolock.
During the course of the exercise, a man in his 30 s was stopped and searched.
Eight large bags of suspected cocaine, weighing around 1 kilo, were found concealed in his possession.
The drugs are said to have a street value of up to 65-grand.
The man was arrested by the Guards and taken to Coolock Garda Station, where he s currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A man has been arrested and suspected cocaine worth almost €65,000 has been seized in Dublin.
Gardaí from the Divisional Drug Unit seized eight bags of suspected cocaine during an intelligence-led operation targeting the supply of drugs in Coolock, Dublin 17 at approximately 9pm yesterday.
The suspected cocaine weighs approximately one kilogramme and is estimated to be valued at €64,960.
One man, aged in his 30s, was stopped and searched during the operation on Greencastle Road.
He was arrested and is currently detained at Coolock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí have seized over €64,000 of suspected cocaine and arrested a man following an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Dublin.
