YES summer programs are offered to girls going into seventh through 12th grade.
As students finish up their last assignments before summer vacation, Youth Empowered to Succeed (YES) program directors are preparing to hold summer programs for girls in June. Program presenter and manager Tricia Brown said some of the group’s meetings will be held in person this summer.
“Last year we had to keep it virtual due to COVID-19, but we are excited that this year, in Stuttgart, we are going to be able to hold in-person meetings,” Brown said.
YES is a preventative education program that serves students in Stuttgart, DeWitt, Des Arc, Holly Grove, Hazen, Clarendon, and Augusta. Program presenters hold meetings throughout the school year to discuss various topics with students.
