THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A section of CPM leaders expressed reservations on Tuesday over the exclusion of KK Shailaja from the list of ministers and on the decision to bring a team of entirely fresh faces in the cabinet when the proposals came up for debate in the state committee. According to sources in the CPM, at least seven state committee members criticised the decision to exclude Shailaja but none of them reiterated their objections after politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan replied in detail to their criticism.

NEW DELHI: Pinjra Tod activist Natasha Narwal s father Mahavir Narwal died of the novel coronavirus infection on Sunday, family sources said.
Natasha was arrested in May last year for allegedly being part of a premeditated conspiracy in the northeast Delhi riots in February that year.
She has been booked under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The activist has been lodged in Tihar Jail here.

New Delhi:Â Mahavir Narwal, the scientist and communist whose daughter Natasha Narwal has been jailed without trial for just under a year, died of COVID-19 in a Rohtak hospital on Sunday, his family and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) said. He was 71 and had been undergoing treatment for a week.
