(Connecticut State Police) TRUMBULL, CT A kidnapping victim was rescued by Connecticut State Police troopers Monday afternoon during a traffic stop on Route 15 northbound in Trumbull, according to authorities. The 41-year-old suspect, Jose Alberto Claudio Diaz, accused of kidnapping the female victim was wanted on robbery charges out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he lives. Connecticut State Police were notified by authorities in Bethlehem that the two would be traveling through the state on Route 15 on Monday, and the vehicle they were in was spotted near exit 46 and pulled over near exit 48 in Trumbull.
