A woman with two warrants out for her arrest was taken into police custody after being busted attempting to shoplift from a Fairfield County Stop & Shop, investigators said.
Officers from the Westport Police Department responded to Stop & Shop on Post Road at 4:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, where there was a report of a woman allegedly shoplifting.
It is alleged that the woman, later identified as Westport resident Teri Torres, was detained after being caught walking throughout the grocery store, placing items in a reusable bag before leaving the market without attempting to pay for any of the merchandise.
