Greenock graduate presents new BBC children's TV programme

A GREENOCK art school graduate is combining her craft with her love of Gaelic to present a new children s TV programme on the BBC. Choirstaidh McArthur stars in A’ Chùil, which means A Wee Dookit, a brand new series on CBBC Alba. The show sees her share her expertise with younger Gaelic viewers. The 25-year-old hails from Bridgend Road in Greenock and developed her love of the Gaelic language and culture at Highlanders Academy s Gaelic nursery. Choirstaidh, which is pronounced Kirsty, said: My mum worked at the Gaelic nursery. She was a qualified nursery nurse then took on the position - it was meant to be temporary and she stayed there for 20 years.
