Sitting in my tracksuit pants and a fraying t-shirt, I am taking a drag off a contraband cigarette, smuggled in by my boyfriend. My brittle hair is forming an unintentional dreadlock at the back of my head and my sallow face resembles a bowl of porridge. As I look around the psych ward courtyard, most of the patients look similar. No cool girls’ club, no edgy back stories, no fashionable band of misfits. In fact, nothing about being in a psych ward is cool.

There are fears a body found in Melbourne bushland belong to a missing woman who vanished two weeks ago.
Bridget Flack, 28, was last seen on CCTV at a Dan Murphy s in Collingwood, an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, at about 10.30am on November 30.
Ms Flack, a transgender woman, made phone contact later that day and told friends she was going for a walk along the Yarra River - but she did not return home.
Victoria Police uncovered a woman s body in bushland at Willsmere-Chandler Park in Kew East, to the city s east, at about 5pm on Friday.
