BRIGANTINE- The Atlantic County Prosecutor s Office Crash Investigations Unit is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon when a Lindenwald man was killed on Brigantine Boulevard, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

On June 26th, 2021, at 12:17 p.m., Hector Salgado, 54, was killed on Brigantine Blvd in Brigantine when a van he was loading was struck by a Honda Civic, driven by 34 year-old Joanna Huynh of Brigantine.
This fatal crash remains under investigation in a cooperative effort by the Atlantic County Prosecutor s Office Crash Investigations Unit and Brigantine Police Department. Anyone with information about the crash may contact the Atlantic County Prosecutor s Office at (609) 909-7873 or the Brigantine Police Department at (609) 266-7414. No further information will be released at this time.

The situation happened Friday, when police received a call from members of an organization that seeks to expose individuals who utilize the internet and mobile-based applications to meet with minors for the purposes of sexual acts.

Police say the people who called said they were at a hotel in Brigantine where they located a man who had been having sexually explicit conversations via mobile application with a member of their organization who was posing as a 15-year-old boy. Police say the callers said the man had provided them with his room number at the hotel for the purposes of meeting what he believed to be the 15-year-old.
