Lorraine Mary Young March 4, 1940 April 16, 2021 Lorraine Mary Young, 81, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Lorraine was born in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, on March 4, 1940. After graduating high school, Lorraine married Joseph Young. Lorraine and Joseph raised their six children, Dianna Hirst, Joseph Young Jr., Dennis Young, Linda Lahman, Rita Young and Sarah Udell. Lorraine and Joseph had 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Lorraine was a wife and mother first and foremost, but also mentored many teenagers and children. Lorraine was a member of the Society of Military Widows; she was a Navy wife for over 20 years. She loved helping others and especially liked to volunteer at the Manna Program, handing out food to the homeless.
