A Stamford arboretum filled with enchanting gardens and rare trees could make for the perfect winter day trip.
Bartlett Arboretum and Gardens in Stamford, Connecticut features 93 acres of land.
The property was originally a laboratory and a training ground for Dr. Francis Bartlett who founded the Bartlett Tree Experts.
The grounds are home to both native and rare trees.
Some trees that flourish on the property are native to China and Australia.
Chief Executive Officer Jane Von Trapp says some trees are as old as 100 years, and that workers continue to groom and maintain the legacy trees that were planted on the grounds originally.
