South Taranaki have stopped the North dominance of the annual North v South Origin challenge. North had won the contest for the last three years since its inception back in 2018 but it was a different story this time round. North captain New Plymouth Old Boys’ (NPOB) Davis Mills won the toss and elected to bat first, a decision he was soon regretting when both openers, New Plymouth Boys’ High School’s (NPBHS) Sebastian Lauderdale Smith and Francis Douglas Memorial College’s (FDMC) Josh Elder fell with the score at eleven.
