College of Nursing speaker to discuss racial disparities of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias on April 9
MILWAUKEE
Gina Green-Harris, director of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute Milwaukee Regional Office, will discuss “Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias: How systemic bias impacts communities of color” as the topic for the Marquette University College of Nursing’s next Health Inequities Speaker on Friday, April 9, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event will be presented virtually and is open to the public at no charge. Registration is available online and a link will be sent on the morning of the event.

When it comes to disparities in health, African Americans are frequently at the bottom of all lists. Whether itâs heart disease, diabetes, stroke or any other number of issues, systemic issues have led to African Americans health being among the worst. Dementia can be added to that list.
