More support for rural and regional students
Students from regional and remote communities can now apply for scholarships worth up to $18,000 to help meet the cost of university or other tertiary education and training.
Minister for Education and Youth Alan Tudge said the latest round of the Government’s Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships program will help 700 commencing students access tertiary education opportunities this year, from Certificate IV to PhD level.
“We are helping more students from regional and remote Australia, into higher education so they can get a qualification and get into a job,” Minister Tudge said.
