EVBox installs charging systems with Kingspan
EVBox Group will supply Kingspan with just over 60 AC and DC charging stations to help the building materials manufacturer convert its corporate fleet to electric vehicles. The installation project will begin in the UK and Ireland before expanding to other regions.
Kingspan is a provider of insulation solutions for buildings based in Ireland. The company aims to convert its entire fleet to zero-emission powertrains by 2025. To build charging infrastructure at office and manufacturing sites, Kingspan has now signed an agreement with EVBox.
The Dutch company will initially install a good 60 AC and DC charging stations at Kingspan’s so-called IKON Innovation Center and global headquarters in Ireland. For this purpose, EVBox will be installing the Troniq 50, BusinessLine (in the dual version) and Iqon chargers. The former is a DC solution, while the other two are AC units. Homebase.
Mercury, which is headquartered in Lisburn with offices in Dublin, Limerick and London, has established a strong reputation as a leading security provider in the retail market and Homebase joins an impressive portfolio of clients that also includes Smyth’s Toys, Lidl, Harvey Norman, Lifestyle Sports, and a host of prominent shopping centres.
The Homebase security contract will see MSFM provide a team of well-equipped and highly trained security and customer service officers, with fast access to additional support and resources if required, to the retailer’s stores on the island of Ireland.

2SafeArrest joint industry project (JIP) between Energy Pipelines CRC (Australia) and DNV. The work has been supported by the Norwegian funding body CLIMIT and the Australian Commonwealth Government under the Carbon Capture & Storage Research Development and Demonstration Fund.
The need to transport CO
2 is expected to increase significantly in the years to come as part of the widespread view that CCS is a viable means to reduce CO
2 emissions. Reliable transport from where it is captured to a storage site is therefore of utmost importance.

DNV has published new procedures to provide the required safety level in transporting CO2 via pipelines and strengthen the development of carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects.
An updated recommended practice, DNVGL-RP-F104 Design and operation of CO2 pipelines, has been published based on the results from the CO2SafeArrest joint industry project between Energy Pipelines CRC and DNV.
The project involved two large-scale CO2 crack arrest tests being carried out on 24” pipelines to better understand the safety implications of CO2 releases. The testing was performed at the DNV Research and Development facility in UK.
