Connie Sue Dixon, 65, of Cleveland, departed this life on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Born on March 25, 1956, to the late B.T. and Liddie Johnson Dixon, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She loved going to church, picnicking in Reliance and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Dixon.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Alfred Dixon (Mamie); sisters: Linda Boring, Barbara Saint, Judy Rogers; and several extended family and a host of friends.

Hamilton County had 35 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 44,677. There has been one more death from the virus, and the total is 496 in the county. It is reported to be a black man, age 31-40. The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 43,651, which is 98 percent, and there are 530 active cases. There are 40 patients hospitalized and 11 in Intensive Care Units. Five more are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID. Of those hospitalized, 14 are county residents.
The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 855,587 on Wednesday with 869 new cases. There have been four more deaths from the virus, for a total of 12,296 State Health Department officials said.

Hamilton County had 35 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total to 44,618. There have been no more deaths from the virus, and the total is 495 in the county. The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 43,581, which is 98 percent, and there are 542 active cases. There are 37 patients hospitalized and 10 in Intensive Care Units. Seven more are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID. Of those hospitalized, 12 are county residents.
The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 854,918 on Tuesday with 655 new cases. There have been 16 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 12,292 State Health Department officials said.

The Caring Place provides food, clothing, social services and spiritual support at no cost to 2,000 underserved residents per month. A foundation of love and faith, The Caring Place has support from 52 churches, 134 active volunteers, 15 staff members and over 150 organizations and businesses. Their mission is to provide access to the basic resources and opportunities needed for clients to move past poverty.
The Caring Place uses the C.A.R.E method to connect, advocate, restore and empower their clients.
