In Edmonton, fireworks are planned to be set off over the river valley at 11 p.m. on Canada Day. It will be choreographed to music by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra played on CBC Radio 93.9 FM and 740 AM during the display. A livestream will also be available for anyone who wishes to see them from home.
Edmontonians won’t be able to watch from Kinsman Park this year, and the park’s picnic areas and playground will be closed starting at 6 a.m.
Pedestrians (no vehicles allowed) can watch on River Valley Road, Walterdale Hill Road, Queen Elizabeth Park Road, Queen Elizabeth Park Hill, and on 109 Street between Saskatchewan Drive and High Level Bridge.
